Why a premium rug pad? Our pads are longer-lasting, provide superior cushioning to protect both your rug and your floor, and will not discolor your wood floors. In addition, the Rubber Anchor line of pads is made from sustainably harvested and/or recycled natural rubber, making it an ecologically friendly choice.

Which pad should I buy? In most cases, I recommend the Rubber Anchor II. It is the pad I myself use. If you prefer a recycled product, then the Rubber Anchor Green is the way to go. The Ulti-Mat is preferred if you want more padding (it is 1/4″ inch thick to our standard 1/8″ Rubber Anchor pads) or if you are placing a rug over wall-to-wall carpet.

Rubber Anchor II by JADE

Rubber Anchor II is made of 100% natural open cell sponge rubber. Rubber Anchor II will not deteriorate, disintegrate, collect dust or mildew under normal conditions. It isn’t affected by dampness; it’s odorless and it absorbs sound.

Rubber Anchor Green by JADE
(1/8″ thick)

The Rubber Anchor Green is made from recycled natural rubber. It has all the features of the Rubber Anchor II above, contains no PVC or other harmful chemicals, and is made in the USA. And JADE plants a tree with each Rubber Anchor Green pad sold!

Ulti-Mat by JADE (1/4″ thick)

The ultimate in flexibility — a pad that performs as well on wall-to-wall as it does on hard surfaces. Place Ulti-Mat’s reverse-waffle, “tentacle-grip” side down on hard floors and you have more gripping surface than any other pad made. Turn Ulti-Mat over, and you have a pad that keeps area rugs securely in place over wall-to-wall carpeting. Ulti-Mat’s specially treated surface provides extra grip and prevents fuzzing and fraying; it’s even washable.
