The GuildCraft Prairie Collection carpets are based on carefully-researched motifs from original Prairie School designers such as Wright collaborator George Niedecken. The carpets are fashioned of the finest handspun New Zealand wool and vegetable or mineral dyes, hand-knotted in India by master craftspeople using centuries-old techniques passed down and perfected over generations. Each carpet is individually handmade and may have slight variations befitting a hand-crafted work. These variations should not be considered a flaw, but a desirable mark of a handcrafted product; they contribute to each rug’s uniqueness and individual charm. We are proud to have a part in continuing this fine artistic tradition.
All Prairie designs are made to order in any size, including runners, and GoodWeave-certified free of child labor. Lead time is 16-20 weeks; custom colors also available.
